The Bel Air Hotel is rebranded and opened it's doors in January 2016 to join the Marriott portfolio as
The Hague Marriott. The hotel has a refurbishment of all the rooms and common areas such as the new lobby concept the Great Room and the Executive Lounge.
The Hague Marriott Hotel is the largest hotel in The Hague and is ideally located in the middle of the picturesque ' Statenkwartier' district, next to convention centre World Forum, prime-minister's residence' Catshuis' and ' Gemeentemuseum', between city centre and beach.
With 306 comfortable rooms and suites, including the Penthouse Suite, this luxury hotel offers the perfect solution for any stay. All rooms and suites, with city or beach view, are equipped with air-conditioning, a flat screen TV with 60 international TV-channels and free wireless internet.
Job Description
To serve all guests and complete all duties / Mise-en-place, ensuring that Company operating standards and legal requirements are adhered to at all time and that guest satisfaction is exceeded.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Be the main contact for guest and associates when being on shiftSupervise F&B outlets during your shift (Breakfast, Greatroom, Room service, Banquets)Ensure quality of service and operational excellence Ensure selling opportunities are maximizedTo have full product knowledge of hotel services/facilities, all menu items and their service, in order to maximize guest satisfaction and sales opportunities with each guest contact. To ensure 5 minute trainings' takes place and short take calendars are kept up to date. To ensure that all Mise-en-place is completed correctly, both prior to and after each shift, in order to maximize both guest and associate satisfaction. To deal with all guest requests and concerns in accordance with Spirit to Serve' and Guest Response' procedures, thereby maximizing guest satisfaction whilst maintaining profitability. To maintain hygiene, safety and fire standards within the work area in adherence with Safety Matters' and the hotel's clean as you go' policy in order to ensure the health of guests and colleagues alike. Assistance in the monthly departmental meetings. To ensure that all tasks carried out comply with standard operational procedures and hotel legal and environmental policies and procedures. To stimulate other supervisors within the department to adhere to standards and utilize accountability for supervisors and associates to uphold brand standards. Hold associates and supervisors accountable for their job roles. Achieve GSS targets. To carry out any other reasonable task as requested by management.
